Hello friends of A Thing for Roses! Thank you for following along with me. I know some have been reading my blog for several years. I can’t believe how long I’ve been posting. Not as much lately, unfortunately, but I hope with this new blog, that will change too. I recently decided that although I do still have a thing for roses, I wanted to change my business name to encompass more of what I am selling. In other words, I want my name to show that I am more than just roses. I love many, many things, old and pretty.
On that note, I have also set up a new Facebook page. If you are so inclined, you can find it and like it at www.facebook.com/someprettyoldthings. I will be posting new vintage finds, projects, etc. there on a regular basis. I’ve got some exciting things I’m working on, including, but not limited to displaying in the front window at Monticello in September and hopefully, a long awaited Etsy store.
Just wanted to share this picture of my finds from yesterday’s Plucky Maiden Junk Fest. Pam did a wonderful job (as always) lining up some amazing vendors and the venue couldn’t have been more perfect. The weather was gorgeous! As you can see, I found a cute little vintage brown case and some lovely glass curtain tie backs. I have always wanted some of these and was very happy with the price.
